eagle school district housing

The affordable housing crisis effecting Colorado is especially difficult for low- and mid-income professions. The Eagle County School District recognizes the challenges its employees are experiencing finding affordable housing in the market. To help ease this pressure and to better recruit and retain employees, the district has partnered with 2757 to develop an affordable housing complex for its staff. This employee housing development is the flagship venture for their larger master plan. This initial 37-unit housing complex needs to be attractive, provide a high quality of living, and maintain an affordable price point for the district and the staff. Extra attention is to be paid to the long-term maintenance and utility costs to make this project affordable during construction and for the decades to follow. A major consideration in the early stages of the project is the utilization of modular construction. In implementing this strategy, the project can both optimize the construction schedule and take advantage of a more controlled and efficient factory construction environment.
